Poltergeist
Poltergeist is a Windows-first snippet manager for people who want speed without a SaaS leash: a global hotkey opens a nested picker at the cursor; snippets expand through a rich token language (dates, context from regex captures, databases, translation, includes, and conditionals); injection modes cover clipboard, Shift+Insert, and typed input - including paths aimed at picky terminals.
The app is portable - config and cache sit beside the executable - and optional team share merges read-only libraries from UNC folders or HTTP(S) manifests with offline-friendly cache. User and admin editions exist so the same codebase can serve individuals and locked-down operator deployments.
If your goal is to replace repetitive typing with something you control, ship as a single exe, and still grow into team-backed snippets when the org is ready, Poltergeist is the bench.
